Chad Kroeger’s ring
Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger asked Avril Lavigne to be his wife in 2012 after about six months of dating. After about six months of dating, he popped the question with a 14-carat diamond ring featuring a pear-shaped center stone. They married in 2013 and called it quits two years later.
Mod Sun’s ring
After more than a year as a couple, musician Mod Sun asked Avril Lavigne to be his wife in Paris in March 2022. He proposed with a stunning heart-shaped diamond ring from XIV Karats from Beverly Hills. “It has the words ‘Hi Icon’ engraved in it, which were the first words he ever said to me. And it has Mod + Avril on the inside,” Avril told People magazine. “He knew from the very beginning I wanted a heart-shaped diamond because on the day we met, we had matching heart-shaped paved rings on. We’ve worn them every day since, so it’s only fitting to have a heart-shaped engagement ring. I love it so much.” But it wasn’t meant to be: The couple split and ended their engagement in February 2023.
Megan Fox split from first husband Brian Austin Green a few times, confirming they were finally ending their decade-long marriage in 2020. In January 2022, she and new love Machine Gun Kelly announced their engagement to the world. Keep reading to see Megan’s diamond rings from Brian and her very unique engagement bling from MGK — which he just claimed was designed with thorny bands to make it “hurt” when she takes it off…
Brian Austin Green’s ring
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green got engaged in 2006 and married in 2010. She’s seen here showing off her diamond wedding rings from the “Beverly Hills, 90210” star a few months after they exchanged vows. They split in 2015, reconciled in 2016 and split for good in 2020.
Machine Gun Kelly’s ring
Machine Gun Kelly proposed to Megan Fox on Jan. 11, 2022, with a unique diamond and emerald ring following a year and a half of dating. “‘yes, in this life and every life’ beneath the same branches we fell in love under, i brought her back to ask her to marry me. i know tradition is one ring, but i designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022,” the music star captioned a video debuting her ring on Instagram. Days later, MGK shared more details about the piece with Vogue. “It’s a thoroughbred Colombian emerald, with no treatment,” he explained, adding that he intentionally wanted thorns incorporated into the design. “The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it’s together, it’s held in place by a magnet. So you see how it snaps together? … The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts… ” he said, though it’s unclear if he was joking. “Love is pain!”
Jessica Simpson has been married twice: She and 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey walked down the aisle in 2002 and she and former NFL player Eric Johnson said “I do” in 2014. See the rings both guys gave her next…

Their marriage ended in 2005.
Eric Johnson’s ring
When former NFL player Eric Johnson proposed to Jessica Simpson with Led Zeppelin’s “Since I’ve Been Loving You” playing on Nov. 11 at 11:11 a.m., he gave her a non-traditional sparkler from jeweler Neil Lane’s collection of vintage pieces — a 1910 Tiffany & Co. ring featuring a 5-carat ruby (her birthstone) flanked by two pear-shaped diamonds. When it came time to choose a wedding band, Neil created something he knew Jessica would love. “She’s a Texas girl so we didn’t do a little band. She wanted her bling!” he explained of the singer-designer’s yellow and rose gold band set with 5 carats of marquise and round diamonds.
Ojani Noa’s ring
Jennifer Lopez wed waiter Ojani Noa in 1997, but their marriage only lasted until the following year. She sported a simple diamond engagement ring and a gold wedding band during their short-lived union.

Ben Affleck’s first ring
In 2002, Ben Affleck proposed to “Gigli” co-star Jennifer Lopez with a 6.1-carat rare pink diamond ring flanked by smaller white diamonds. The Harry Winston sparkler was estimated to be worth $2.5 million at the time. They called off their 2003 wedding just days before they were set to walk down the aisle, and a few months later, in early 2004, confirmed they’d broken up for good. But in 2021, the pair reunited, and in April 2022, J.Lo revealed Ben had proposed again — see that second ring in a minute…
Marc Anthony’s ring
In June 2004 — just months after Bennifer’s demise — Jennifer Lopez married salsa singer Marc Anthony. He reportedly proposed with a rare blue 8.5-carat diamond engagement ring flanked by smaller white diamonds, which was estimated to be worth $4 million. They split in 2011.
In April 2022, Jennifer Lopez took to her OntheJLo.com newsletter to reveal that she and Ben Affleck were engaged again nearly 20 years after he proposed the first time: She posted a video giving a glimpse of her new ring featuring a rare green diamond center stone believed to weigh 8.5 carats flanked by white diamonds. In a previous post in her newsletter, J.Lo — who married Ben in July 2022 in Las Vegas then had a bigger wedding for family and friends in August — shared that green has been a significant color during special moments in her life. “I always say the color green is my lucky color. Maybe you can remember a certain green dress,” she wrote, a reference to the plunging green Versace gown she wore to the 2000 Grammys. “I’ve realized there are many moments in my life where amazing things happened when I was wearing green. It may be a coincidence, maybe not. But as I took a better look, I realized there are no coincidences.”

Paris Latsis’s ring
Paris Hilton started seeing Paris Latsis in late 2004 and by the following May, they were engaged. The Greek shipping heir gave the reality TV star a jaw-dropping 24-carat diamond ring, which he had to replace for a reason that is so very Paris. “[She] started complaining how heavy her 24-carat ring was and that her finger hurt,” a source told Us Weekly at the time, so her fiancé “got her a more manageable diamond-less platinum Cartier band for everyday wear.” The couple ended their engagement in November 2005.
Chris Zylka’s ring
Actor Chris Zylka of “The Leftovers” fame proposed to Paris Hilton in Aspen, Colorado, over the 2017 holidays with a ginormous 20-carat pear-shaped diamond ring from Greene & Co. worth $2 million. He chose that cut, jeweler Michael Greene told The Knot, because Paris has long admired her mother’s ring, which also features a pear-shaped diamond. The bling was so valuable, Paris hired security to accompany her when she wore it. After she and Chris split in November 2018, she said she planned to keep the ring.
Carter Reum‘s ring
After about a year of dating, venture capitalist Carter Reum proposed to Paris Hilton on a private island in February 2021 with an enormous emerald-cut diamond ring designed by jeweler Jean Dousset, who’s the great-great-grandson of famed French jeweler Louis Cartier. The ring is called “The Paris” and, as its namesake explained during a March 2021, appearance on “On Air With Ryan Seacrest,” “I’m so obsessed with it.” She added that the ring “has like, 15 diamonds going around and then inside it has a ‘P’ with a sapphire.” Paris and Carter wed on Nov. 11, 2021.

A jewelry expert told Page Six that the stunner appears to be an 11-carat light-brown diamond that’s a mix between a pear and oval shape set on an unexpected dark band. They later settled out of court.
